A Book for Kids About Understanding Illness

Writing a book for children about sick loved ones was one of the most heartfelt projects I’ve undertaken. Using simple, accessible language and engaging illustrations, I crafted a story that helps kids navigate the emotions and complexities of having a loved one who is unwell.

This project leveraged my ability to listen deeply to what kids and their families need. Through interviews and research, I explored how children process emotions and the types of support they find most comforting. The result is a book that fosters understanding and opens the door for meaningful conversations—a testament to how empathy can shape impactful tools for young minds.
